Welcoming the New Year.....

Well finally I'm putting thoughts to type and jumping in to wish everyone Happy New Year on January 24! ;) Since returning from a wonderful Holiday in New York .... I've had a sinus issue that has kept me exhausted! I'm finally feeling better and planning on sharing more thoughts and stories from my adventures and posting more on a daily basis. Above is my husband Rocco and myself at my Daughter Stephanie's apartment on New Years Eve! It was a great night but certainly cold and as we took in the Fireworks show at Central Park at midnight it was -5 Degrees! A brisk walk to the Park and then back to enjoy a toast to the New Year and eat Herring for good luck!

Above is one of my favorite pictures of our trip...Stephanie and I with NYC's finest at Times Square New Years Eve morning. It was only single digits then and my hands were absolutely frozen. We decided to take a picture and we all laughed when the patrolman taking it said smile and then I realized it was only us smiling as they had on protective gear to shield them from the wind and cold! As always our trips to New York are filled with visits to family and friends sharing great times and of course great food! From New York to New Jersey to The Catskill Mountains to Long Island we laughed and shared the stories of both present day and memories of years past. There is never enough time to see everyone but we try our best to make the rounds.
To all who have visited Britalia Way and to new visitors .... I'm wishing everyone Health, Happiness and tasteful Memories for 2018!
