Beautiful Fall Day in the City!

Another beautiful fall day spent walking and visiting some of my favorite shops. I started the day taking the Bus down to Hudson and Horatio Street to shop at Myers of Keswick. This is a great little British shop with homemade meat pies, fresh meats, cheeses and all sorts of British goodies. In addition there are Flags, mugs, teapots and all things Queen! A few blocks away I stopped at Tea and Sympathy and looked at all there latest items imported from England as well. They also have a cute little Tea shop that serves lunch and of course scones and clotted cream!  Next door is yet another British food place called Asalt and Battery (great British humor).  They have the best Fish and Chips with Malt Vinegar. I love their Beets and Onions too! Walking around the West Village is so great just to admire the Doors on the Brownstone houses. After walking around for a good hour, I jumped on the subway to go downtown to check out Century 21. This is a big store like a Marshall’s or TJ Max although I always associate the name with Real Estate. I then met up with Stephanie (my Daughter) and we went to Jim Brady’s down by Wall Street for Dinner. Its a great Irish Pub and Restaurant. We first went there with my Nieces Brother Gerard and loved the atmosphere and decor which is rich with style and elegance of years ago. It’s actually been in New York since 1976.
