Creating Britalia Way
This picture was taken in October of 2012 at Central Park in New York. I was visiting my daughter Stephanie and was out for my morning walk. My visits are always so special as I get to wander through the City and get inspiration for new ideas! My Fall trips are spent enjoying all the changes of the Season that New York offers. I always tell my friends the sights, sounds and smells in the air awaken my senses and bring them to a greater height. My daily outings usually include Union Square Market to stroll among the vendors where you are treated to a taste with your eyes of all the Fruits, Vegetables, Herbs and Plants that are so beautifully displayed.
Another place I frequently shop is Chelsea Market. It is located in the old Meat Packing District and houses many tasty places to eat as well as Fish Mongers, Bakeries, Spices, Produce, and many specialty shops. Buon Italia, a personal favorite, is an Italian store that has imported foods from many regions of Italy. Here is a photo of my last visit in July of 2013 visiting with the owners at their dining table at the back of the store.

It was on these last two trips that I decided to create Britalia Way. The name came about by uniting my English background with my husband Rocco's Italian heritage. Britalia Way will be a space to share my conversations and memorable moments with special people. Often my experiences will feature food and my visits to New York to see Stephanie. Strolling through the City and tasting the flavors of the neighborhoods is where it begins!
